The Provisions on the Problem of Strictly Forbidding Illegal Banquets and Drinking are regulations issued by the Central Military Commission (CMC), which issued the Provisions on the Problem of Strictly Forbidding Illegal Banquets and Drinking to the entire military and armed police forces at the end of September 2017, and implemented them from the end of September 2017 onwards.
This is not the first time that alcohol has been banned in military camps. As early as December 2012, the Central Military Commission issued ten provisions requiring "no arrangements for banquets, no alcohol, no high-grade dishes", which caused a strong reaction in the military camp. The military has imposed strict restrictions on drinking behavior, and has taken clear disciplinary measures against public spending, excessive drinking and drinking on workdays.
The Army's "ban on alcohol" makes it clear that:

four, it is strictly prohibited to take the opportunity of marriage and funeral, housewarming and birth of a child, birthday celebrations and other occasions to invite active-duty personnel to gather and drink;
five, it is strictly prohibited to take the opportunity of ocean convoys, formation visits, Chinese and foreign joint exercises, military study abroad and other occasions to purchase alcohol and bring alcohol.
The Armed Police Force requires:
One, it is strictly prohibited to drink during the period of combat readiness, duty and attempted missions;
Two, it is strictly prohibited to drink during the working day;
Three, it is strictly prohibited to drink during the period of the leading authorities under the troops;
Four, it is strictly prohibited to drink during domestic official reception activities;
Five, it is strictly prohibited to drink between the military and local and within the force banquets;
