A large number of trees were planted on the earthen mountain to repair bamboo, which made the landscape of the ancient town and the shadow of Xishan Longguang Tower more beautiful. After renovation, the upper side of Guandao River has restored the buildings and steles in Qing Dynasty. Soon, the "poetry tomb" and inscriptions will be restored, reappearing Gu Guangxu's stories of writing, loving and fascinated poems.
Scenery of Huishan Ancient Town
The protection scope of Huishan Ancient Town is 1.7 km long from east to west, bounded by Huangbudun and Huishan Temple, and located between Xishan Bridge and Tonghui West Road from north to south, with a width of 1.8 km and a total area of about 113 hectares. Among them, Huishan Temple to Baoshan Bridge is the core protected area, covering an area of 25 hectares, and 78 hectares east of Xihui Road is the supporting development area and style coordination area of the ancient town. Its planning and layout is based on the two land and water landscapes of the ancient canal Huishan Bangshui Street and Wulixiangcheng Ancestral Hall Street (straight street), leading to the landscape core of Huishan Temple, a thousand-year-old temple, and the second spring in the world.
The main feature area of Huishan Ancient Town is in the area from Huishan Hengjie and Zhijie to Huishanbang to the east of Baoshan Bridge, with an area of about 1.5 million square meters. Through the re-integration and environmental management of various buildings in this area, relying on the Huishan ancient ancestral hall group, the traditional features of the original Huishan ancient town are restored, and two traditional ancient markets, two lanes and water tourist passages along Huishan Bang are formed, thus the Huishan ancient landscape area extending from the east side of Jichang Garden to Huangbudun is built.
Another highlight of the restored Huishan Straight Street is the zhaobi and archway that confirm the long history and culture of Huishan Ancient Town. At present, there are about 11 memorial archways, and their shapes are large and small, among which 6 memorial archways are restored at Guandaohe. These zhaobi and memorial archways not only beautify and enrich the landscape of Huishan ancient town, but also provide convenience for visitors to understand the long history and ancestral temple culture of Huishan ancient town. Huishan old street in the ancient town stands at the eastern end of Huishan straight street. A stone tablet was erected on the street corner. The front brick is engraved with the words "five miles of incense", which was written by Dou Chenglong in the late Qing Dynasty; The reverse seal script is "Jiu Feng Cuizhang". It was written by Sun Hanchu, the eighth clan of Shao Bao. The monument was built in the sixth year of Xianfeng in Qing Dynasty. Wulixiangcheng was originally a road from Ximen to Huishan in Wuxi. In 1976, the Wuxi section of the Beijing-Hangzhou Canal was diverted, and the Wulixiangcheng was abandoned. A boulevard was built near Huishan, which was called Huishan Straight Street. The old houses in Jiangnan were kept on the street, and there were many shops selling Huishan clay figurines. There were Huishan Clay Fighter Museum under the faucet, Huishan Clay Fighter Factory at Baoshan Bridge and Zhangxun Temple on the street.
Huishan ancient town has a long history, numerous historical sites and rich cultural heritage, and is known as the open-air museum of Wuxi history and culture. From the Neolithic Age to modern times, cultural relics and historic buildings abound, and there are 25 national, provincial and municipal cultural relics protection units. In Huishan ancient town, ll8 ancestral temple buildings and important relics have been discovered, which brought together 81 surnames and 181 historical celebrities from the Tang Dynasty to the Republic of China. Its large number, high density, complete categories and simple style are rare in China. It has aroused great concern and interest from all walks of life. Second, Rongxiang Ancient Town, the cradle of China's national industry

The ancient town of Rongxiang, with a history of nearly 611 years, is located in the west suburb of Wuxi and in the Helie area of Binhu District, with an area of less than one square kilometer, bordering Liang Qing Road in the south, crossing Liangxi Road in the north, Hongqiao Road in the east and Lianghu Road in the west. Nowadays, the pattern of old streets and alleys still exists, and the buildings in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China are basically well preserved.
