Method of making creative spiral chandelier with SketchUp

Step 0 1: Import the picture into SketchUp, mainly for reference.

Step 02: Draw two vertical lines on the facade, and then draw a circle on one of them, and ensure that the distance between the two vertical lines is less than the radius of the circle.

Step 03: Draw the structural line of the chandelier connecting rod as shown in the reference figure at the lower part of the vertical line near the outside, and replace the corner with an arc to weld the structural line of the whole lamp pole. Here we use the welding line command in JHS toolbar -JHSPOWERBAR(CadFather) plug-in set.

Step 04: Draw a circle perpendicular to the lamp post at the top of the drawn lamp post, select the lamp post structure line, execute the path following command, and create the lamp post. Remember to create this object into a group.

Step 05: Next, use SketchUp's circular drawing tool and push-pull tool to create a cylinder at one end of the lamp post, fillet the angled part at the end of the tail, select the angled edge line, click the fillet in 3D chamfer -FredoCorner(Fredo), modify the radius of the arc, and create the created lamp holder parts into groups.

Step 06: Draw the section of the bulb at the other end of the lamp holder, and create the bulb with the help of the path following command, and create this part as a group object.

Step 07: Select the lamp post, lamp holder and bulb group to create an assembly object together.

Step 08: Select the created component object, click the grow array command under the extension program, and modify the corresponding parameters to get the model as shown in the following figure.

Step 09: Double-click to enter the component object editing, which is simply to give color.

Step 10: Adjust the viewing angle to the front view, select all the arrayed component objects, and then click the "cut" icon to delete the unnecessary parts in the component. The upper parts of all lamp poles are cut off smoothly.

Step 1 1: In the circle and vertical line group created earlier, push and pull the circular surface to a certain thickness, and then fillet its edge with 3D chamfer plug-in, and the last part of the whole lamp pole is completed.
