Apprentices are not just for studying, but for real practice. Reading without doing anything is like cooking without following the recipe and driving without following the map.
Teacher Cai Lixu's Detailed Explanation of Disciple Rules is a good textbook of Disciple Rules. If you look carefully, it will definitely have a far-reaching impact on your life.
Example:
I read a few Buddhist classics in dribs and drabs before I finished school, and I didn't pay enough attention to the importance of learning and practicing disciples' rules. Through this period of study, I face teacher Cai's kind smile every day and listen to her sincere teaching, which gives me a chance to reflect on myself and realize that I am learning and implementing in real life. The importance of< disciples >>.
Through this period of study and training, I have benefited a lot. Here, I will give a study report to all the teachers, Dade and fellow initiates of the college. Please learn from me and criticize me!
Disciples Rules, originally named Xun, was written by Mr. Qing Dynasty. According to the teachings of Confucius, the most sage, disciples were filial when they entered The Analects, and sincere and trustworthy when they published The Analects. They love all people, but they are kind and spare no effort. They take learning as the key link and integrate the primary school texts edited by Zhu.
Disciples' Rules is the basis for teaching us to be firm in filial piety, which specifically refers to the proper etiquette and norms for children to stay at home, go out, treat others and study. Paying attention to family education and life education is the primary magic weapon for us to enlighten and cultivate honesty, educate children to "do their best, be idle and be honest", cultivate loyal family style and educate one side, and save today's moral decay and various social crises.
Respected masters, old monks and Cai teachers have repeatedly taught us that learning should be in-depth, long-term, from the heart and with respect and humility. True moral knowledge is to understand correspondence, to believe, to understand, to act, to prove, and to truly implement it in real life!
Through this period of study, I realize that learning and implementing Disciples Rules is to lay a solid foundation of moral knowledge, and I deeply realize that the fundamental of being a man is to be filial to parents, love brothers, serve teachers, be kind and modest, be honest and trustworthy, and respect everything. On the other hand, I am ashamed that I can't do it in many aspects! In the future, we must follow the teachings of ancient sages, follow the teachings, and strive to change! !
First, filial piety.
Filial piety is that saints teach us to love, respect and be grateful to our parents from the heart, because nothing is better for us than parents, the hardship of pregnancy, the contribution of childbirth and the contribution of education. We can never repay our parents' kindness for the rest of our lives. Today, if we are lucky enough to experience the teachings of these sages, we should first try our best to be good children.
Filial piety to adoptive parents: mainly from three aspects.
1, adoptive parents: Be filial to adoptive parents in life, respect and be filial to parents, and pay attention to whether your words and deeds will make your parents sad. Usually pay more attention to parents' health and take good care of their diet and health. Parents are sick, so we should do our best to be filial, take good care of them and let them recover as soon as possible.
2, the heart of adoptive parents, communicate with parents more in life, let them know that our life is harmonious and happy, work is stable, don't let parents worry, let parents rest assured. Listen to parents' advice in life and work. From today on, I will make up my mind. First of all, I will manage my life and my family, constantly cultivate and improve my moral knowledge, and be a dutiful son who really makes my parents proud!
3, the ambition of adoptive parents, we should implement filial piety in our lives, and we should practice filial piety with our own sincerity. In life, it is mainly parents' opinions that must comply with parents' wishes; Even if parents' cognition is wrong, we can't refute them. We should respect, be modest, make promises, and find opportunities to try to convince our parents in ingenious and convenient ways.
At the end of the school, filial piety is also a very important thing, that is, we must find ways to filial piety our parents with our own virtue, and we must lead our parents to Buddhism as soon as possible, learn Buddhism well, and let them live a blissful life. Do your best to let parents achieve Buddhism and Taoism in life and get rid of the pain of life and death, which is the real filial piety.
Second, it's embarrassing to go out.
It is the sages who taught us to love our brothers and sisters, unite with our brothers, take care of and help our brothers and sisters, and then love our friends and all the people we get along with when we go out. We broaden our minds and often practice charity, and we will look down on property. With humility, kindness and wisdom, we will be patient in words and establish good relations. Set an example to the people around you with your own moral knowledge, and turn bad karma into good karma with sincerity, respect, humiliation and wisdom.
Be polite to your elders, be orderly, be humble and polite everywhere, be respectful and polite to your elders, greet them respectfully when you meet them, and don't sit casually. Only when the elders sit down can we sit down. Pay attention to your volume and be courteous when you speak. Then respect and care for all parents, brothers and sisters as you treat your own parents, brothers and sisters, which is considerate.
Third, sincerity.
We should always pay attention to our intentions and words. It will help us to get rid of many bad habits and gradually develop good behavior habits. Mainly from the following three aspects of training:
1, in daily life: cherish life, make full use of every day, form good living habits in life, go to bed early and get up early, pay attention to hygiene, get up early, wash your face and brush your teeth, rinse your mouth after meals, and wash your hands before and after meals. To be healthy. Dress neatly and steadily, suit your identity and occasion, consider the economic situation at home, don't pay attention to famous brands, and be gorgeous. Don't be partial to food, develop good eating habits, and don't be too hungry and full. Children are advised not to drink alcohol. For adults, don't drink alcohol at ordinary times, try not to drink alcohol in social occasions, or drink less appropriately and never get drunk. Usually we are mainly vegetarian.
2. At home, as well as in companies and public places, everything should be arranged in an orderly way, and used things should be put back to their original places so as not to mess up their lives. In life, you are required to walk, sit and stand steadily, and be sincere and respectful when greeting or worshiping the elderly. Walk and do things calmly, don't be impatient, behave respectfully and gently, sit upright, and always remind yourself to be sincere and respectful, and be cautious in words and deeds.
Master Yin Guang taught us to "do our best", and one should know how to do one's part to complete life and mission. Think of others everywhere. Knock on the door and give your name before entering other people's rooms. Don't enter places where quarrels and fights are likely to occur, so as not to be adversely affected. Borrowing things requires permission first, and taking them without asking is no different from stealing. Pay attention to the timely return of borrowed things.
Fourth, the letter.
"Anyone who speaks, believe it first. Kong Old Master Q said, "People can't stand without faith", and it's hard for a person without credit to gain a foothold in society. In this generally discredited society, we should aspire to be sages, set an example for others, get rid of the hypocrisy and dishonesty of the past, live with honesty, kindness and morality, and influence people around us.
Only say what is good and beneficial to people, and modify all bad spoken words. The market is filthy. Don't comment easily until you see the truth. No matter who is right or wrong, once you promise, you must keep your word. Speak in a moderate tone and speed, and admire learning when you see other people's good behavior.
Clothes and diet are secondary things, and only skills and virtue are the foundation of our life. We should always remind ourselves to cultivate goodness and accumulate virtue every day and constantly improve our moral knowledge. Take the sage as an example, learn the advantages of people around you, always remind yourself, take others as a mirror, see the shortcomings of others, and immediately reflect on yourself. If you have similar habits or other problems, you must change them, remind yourself at all times, and constantly improve your virtue and practice.
When you hear others criticize you and correct you, you should be willing to correct it. When you hear others praise you, you should consider whether you are really like this. You should always remain modest, walk on thin ice, strive to improve yourself, and don't be conceited at all.
You should be ashamed of your bad habits and habits in the past. If you do something wrong, you can't cover it up. If you deliberately cover it up, you will add new evils, pollute your personality and cover up your wisdom.
For past mistakes and bad habits, we should face them bravely, find ways to treat them and resolutely correct them! ! !
Fifth, love the masses,
Mencius said, "A gentleman is different from others because of his intention. The meaning of a gentleman is benevolence, and its meaning is courtesy. Benevolent people love others, while courteous people respect others. Those who love others will always love others; Those who respect others will always respect others. "
Everything in the world is endless because of kindness, and the world can coexist peacefully because of kindness. Even in the materialistic and utilitarian modern times, all beings are confused and turned upside down because of ignorance, greed and selfishness, but as long as truly virtuous people take responsibility and educate themselves, it is easy for them to awaken to goodness.
Under the guidance of the venerable old mage, taking the ancient sages and great knowledge as examples, we should practice from the foundation, take filial piety, friendship, morality and benevolence as the criteria, practice and cultivate ourselves, and others will be similar, thus driving people around us to change their customs, educating one side and promoting social harmony.
In real life, respect and humility are ubiquitous principles, so as not to be selfish. Don't flatter the rich, don't look down on the poor, and treat people equally. For wives, friends and things, we should like the new and hate the old, cherish our wives, family members and relatives, and don't covet new friends or things. When others are not free, we should not bother them with things. When friends are sad, we should give them some time and space to express their concern, instead of disturbing them with words. These are the etiquette and principles that we should pay attention to when dealing with people.
Second, be good at guarding your career. In real life, we should not talk about people's right and wrong or expose their shortcomings. Only look at the advantages of others, not the shortcomings of others, and practice good hiding evil and promoting good. If you can repair your own virtue, you can awaken the shame of others with your own actions.
Teacher Cai taught us that it is a slip of the tongue to persuade people who can't move; If I didn't convince myself of what I should do, I wouldn't have done my duty as a relative and friend. The sages taught us skillful methods. "Young people are fine in court, but they are warned privately." Appreciating the advantages of others in crowded places can encourage others to develop better and persuade others to take care of others' face. Persuading people should first observe the degree of trust in us and whether it is acceptable, and have the wisdom to identify and choose the right time and use the right method.
In real life, I should always remind myself, always look at myself and reflect on myself every day. When getting along with others, we should pay more attention to Dobusch, cherish things and blessings, and cultivate happiness and wisdom. Do what you ask others to do first. Always put yourself in others' shoes. You can't ask others to do things you don't want to do. Always remember others' help, find opportunities to repay, resolve your resentment as soon as possible, and forget others' mistakes. Treat people and subordinates who are inferior to you, you should behave well, be kind and tolerant. Only in this way can others truly admire and respect us.
I will try my best to learn to love others from the bottom of my heart. "I regard all the elders as my parents, all the equals as my brothers and sisters, and all the younger generations as my children." I want to continue to experience something to exercise my mind and keep working hard. Kindness and compassion for all sentient beings are the realm of saints and bodhisattvas. I want to start from the basis of Disciples Rules, start from being a standard good person, and aspire to learn from sages and become a bodhisattva.
Sixth, kindness.
In society, people's confusion depth, wisdom and fortune are different, so their spiritual level and moral quality are also different. In the real society, there are many people who are misled by customs and habits, and few gentlemen and saints who are really virtuous and kind. If a person is really virtuous, people will naturally respect him.
Moral knowledge, such as sailing against the current, must retreat. On the road of life, sages teach us to be close to moral and learned people, take them as examples, convert to the good knowledge of goodness and morality, learn wisdom and moral knowledge from them, constantly improve ourselves and implement them in life.
Mentors and mentors are very important. Tutors can guide us in the right learning direction. Mentors are good partners on our spiritual path, helping each other, correcting each other and making progress together!
Those who are often close to kindness and virtue will learn from him, which will make our virtues more and more progress and our mistakes less and less. If we don't get close to virtuous people, there will be infinite harm, and villains will get close to us, do as the Romans do, and do all kinds of vicious things without knowing it, and the next life will suffer.
Seventh, spare no effort to study literature.
The growth of moral knowledge depends on practice and implementation. We put ourselves into practice in life, and we have good moral character. There is still spare time, so we should study the classics and learn the teachings of sages.
If we just study, but don't do it, but remember to ask questions, it will increase our flashy habits, increase my laziness, become an unrealistic person and know more about life. If you just follow the teachings, but you can't read more books and learn from the teachings of sages, you can't really understand things, and it's easy to do things according to your own prejudices, which leads to mistakes and you don't know it. This is stupid behavior!
We should study with our heart, eyes and mouth and master a subject. We should choose a book to study in order to learn knowledge, and avoid being greedy for more and seeking quick results. Try to be as relaxed as possible during your study, but work hard during your study. At that time, you will understand what you don't understand. In the process of learning, if we have any questions and don't understand, we should take notes at any time and ask our tutor for advice whenever we have the opportunity, so as to understand the true meaning.
Secondly, our study environment, work environment and family environment should be clean and tidy. When writing, be fair and just, strive for correctness and respect. After reading the books, we should put them back in place. Cherish books, and make up what is damaged or missing in time. Books, newspapers, magazines, TV, Internet, etc. What is meaningless to our virtue should be consciously kept away so as not to pollute our hearts.
The Buddha told us that "all living beings have the wisdom and virtue of Tathagata". We should not give up on ourselves. We should study hard and practice the teachings of sages. As long as you aim high, follow the teachings and work hard step by step, you can reach the realm of sages.
During this period, I was deeply touched by studying Disciples' Rules, and established my own correct knowledge of life, only then did I know where my specific gap was and made clear my responsibilities as a person. I know that I should seriously study and practice the Disciple's Rules and various guidelines to lay a solid foundation, honor and love, be cautious in words and deeds, live an honest and kind life, and practice it to strengthen my moral cultivation. I also made up my mind to get rid of my bad habits! !
I am determined to learn and practice the teachings of sages, run my family well and educate my children well. I am responsible for myself, hoping to gradually promote the surrounding and local atmosphere of learning saint education and make my own contribution to social harmony.
