The descendant of Zhou Wuwang, who was sealed in Xiadong Building, was the Duke of Qi, who established the State of Qi in the Spring and Autumn Period. In 445 BC, Qi Huangong's younger brother, Qi Huangong, fled to Lu, and was called Xiahou's family because he was a descendant of Wang, and later generations were also called Xiahou's family because they took Xiahou as their surname. In February of the first year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang ordered the compound surname of the world to be changed to a single surname, and most Xiahou's surname was changed to Xia's. Xiahou today has a population of more than 20,000 people, distributed in Qufu, Surabaya, Ji 'an, Ganzhou, Fenyi and other places in Shandong.
