The food translation garden is divided into three chapters, which respectively translate Chinese food, western food and drinks into standard English. Chinese food is divided into eight major cuisines, including the introduction and key translation of Shandong cuisine, Sichuan cuisine and Fujian cuisine.
Experts involved in translation include not only professors from Beijing Foreign Studies University, Tsinghua University and Peking University, but also translation experts from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, British experts and foreign ambassadors. Chen Lin, a professor at Beijing Foreign Studies University and head of the translation team, said that translation tries to make foreign guests who don't understand China culture understand it at a glance.
