I finally understood that it made sense for Tang Monk to lead Sun Wukong. If this were not the case, this great undertaking of learning from Buddhist scriptures would not be successful.

1. "Subtle Faith"

That means having lofty beliefs, being incompetent but knowing how to employ people, having a benevolent heart, and having good interpersonal relationships. Therefore, Tang Seng can be a leader to lead Sun Wukong. Although Sun Wukong is a hero in our hearts, he cannot achieve great things by himself. He must rely on a leader like Tang Seng to lead. In this sense, Tang Seng is the real hero.
