Shaodong daylily
1. Overview

Daylily is a treasure on the table. Shaodong Huanghua stands out with its own characteristics and is a specialty of our province. It looks like a golden lily, with golden color and rich nutrition. According to the determination of Chinese Academy of Sciences, protein, fat, carbohydrate, calcium, phosphorus, iron, carotene and riboflavin are all higher than common vegetables such as tomatoes, so they are listed as one of the eight most expensive vegetables. Several branches were added to the broth, and the sweetness revealed a faint fragrance. There are 27 varieties of yellow flowers in Shaodong, with a planting area of more than 50,000 mu and an annual output of 5,000 t, accounting for 2/3 of the province's annual export volume and12 of the whole country. Among them, "Jinji" yellow flowers are exported to more than 20 countries and regions such as Asia, Africa, Europe and the United States. Shaodong Huanghua is mainly distributed in Liuguangling District and Lianqiao District, and it is also planted in Shetianqiao District.

2. Geological body types

(1) marl soil type

It is mainly distributed in the area from Shetianqiao to Liuguangling (Figure 3- 18, Photo 3-4), and the lithology is Shetianqiao Formation of Upper Devonian. The bottom or lower part of the formation is gray-black thin-bedded siliceous rocks, siliceous shale mixed with siliceous mudstone or siliceous marl, while the upper part is dominated by marl and silty marl mixed with argillaceous limestone, lenticular limestone and dolomite limestone, and the soil layer is thin.

(2) Soil types of carbonate rocks

Distributed in Heitianpu Township, Lianqiao District, it is thick red soil formed by dolomite mixed with limestone in Huanglong Formation of Middle Carboniferous (Figure 3- 18). Generally speaking, yellow flowers are planted in a flat area at the foot of the mountain (Figures 3-45 and 3-46). Trace element content and soil pH value are similar to those in other places where yellow flowers are not planted, but there is no particularity, which is obviously different from marl gray red soil type, except Shaodong.
