According to the notice of the People's Bank of China, since 1 October 20 11day, banks and financial institutions only accept the fourth set of RMB1minute, and the newly received and stocked fourth set of RMB1minute is separately deposited in the People's Bank of China as damaged RMB. This means that the once well-known chrysanthemum pattern 1 coin will gradually withdraw from the circulation market.

The fourth set of coins was minted by 1999. In June 2000, 10, 16 and 1999, two new editions of one yuan and ten cents were first released, and in June 2002, 1 18, three new editions of fifty cents were released.
The one-dollar coin is made of nickel-plated steel core, and the outer edge of the coin is cylindrical with the words "RMB" printed on it. The five-pointed star coin is made of copper-plated alloy, steel core and discontinuous silk teeth on the outer edge. A dime is made of aluminum alloy and has no teeth at the edge. On August 3rd, 2005, Kloc-0/,the fifth edition of dime was issued, and the material was changed from aluminum alloy to stainless steel.
The face patterns of the three coins in this set all highlight the face value, with the name of "China People's Bank" above the face value and the year of issue below. On the back, the one-dollar coin is Chrysanthemum, the five-dollar coin is Lotus, and the one-dollar coin is Orchid. Nominal mass of the fourth set of coins: 6 grams.
