Putian Zhongshan Middle School aims to "create famous schools and cultivate first-class talents" and to train qualified students with special skills, and wholeheartedly provide students with first-class educational environment, first-class teaching facilities, first-class teachers, first-class management experience and first-class educational achievements. Putian Primary School was founded on 1924, cancelled on 1936, resumed classes on 1942, and was renamed as private Zhongshan Junior High School in Putian County. 1956 Putian County took over and renamed Putian No.5 Middle School. 1966 and 1974 were closed due to the Cultural Revolution. 1999 In the autumn, high school and junior high school were set up independently, and the junior high school and senior high school moved to a new location. The high school moved to Meishan Road, the former Fujian Advanced Maternal and Child Health School (which was reorganized into Fujian Medical University Putian Branch and Fujian Putian College Medicine Department), and the school name continued to be Putian No.5 Middle School. Junior high school was restored to the name of Zhongshan Middle School, and junior high school was changed to private Zhongshan Middle School. The senior high school entrance examination has been held in recent years.
