In the second year of Jingkang (1 127), Jin Jun detained Song Huizong and Song Qinzong in Jinying. On February 6th, Zhu Jin deposed Song Huizong and Song Qinzong as Shu Ren, and made Zhang Bangchang, the former prime minister of the Song Dynasty who colluded with the Jin Dynasty, as the puppet emperor. On the first day of April, more than 3,000 people, including Jin prisoners' emblems, Qin emperors and their empresses, princes, imperial families and nobles, retreated to the north. Precious seals, clothes, cultural relics, ritual vessels and armymen of the royal family in the Song Dynasty were also collected and returned together with the full load. This is the "Jingkang Change" in history, and the Northern Song Dynasty perished from it.

Zhao Kuangyin gained power by launching a military coup. He took a series of measures to prevent military commanders from having too much military power and local armed forces. These measures not only greatly reduced the fighting capacity of Song Jun, but also seriously weakened the national defense force against foreign invasion.

1 127, more than 3,000 people from the imperial families of Hui Di, Qin and Kaifeng were taken away by the nomads. Song Huizong's ninth son, Kang Wang Zhao Gou, was spared this difficulty because he was appointed as the Grand Marshal of Hebei's military forces. Soon he ascended the throne in Yingtian, and the nomads continued to hunt him down. He fled to Yuezhou, and was later forced to flee to the sea and return to Yuezhou. Hui Di and Qin Di died in the state of Jin in 1 135 and 1 156, respectively.
