Ningxiang City is located on the south edge of Dongting Lake in the northeast of Hunan, in the west of Changsha City, bordering Wangcheng District in the east, yuhu district, Xiangtan County, Shaoshan City and Xiangxiang City in the south, Lianyuan City in Loudi City and Anhua County in Yiyang City in the west, and Heshan District and Taojiang County in Yiyang City in the north.
