Tibetan Kangba dialect area is located between Amdo District and Wei Tibetan area, in the hinterland of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and in the northwest of Kangzang Plateau. Today, Qamdo area in Tibet, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan and Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan are all traditional health preserving areas. As the Tibetan saying goes, "the law of preservation is the horse of Amdo and the man of Kangba"!
