Of course I will forget. This question is just like the text we memorized at school. How much can you remember up to now? Can you remember in detail all kinds of interesting small experiments we did in physical chemistry class? I feel that 99% of people have forgotten it. So even if you learn to cook a dish, you should practice it often. Practice makes perfect. Moreover, cooking is a very technical housework. Every time you put the food at a different time, the degree of heat is different, and even the nuances of putting various condiments are different, the taste of the cooked food will be very different.
Take my favorite dish, "Sweet and sour pork tenderloin". When I made it for the first time, my mother kept guiding me, when to cook and when to season. Every step was very detailed, and the taste was very good. However, every time I cook it alone, there are often various problems. Sometimes the tenderloin is fried too old, and sometimes the tomato sauce and sugar are too sweet and greasy. On another occasion, it was so outrageous that the meat was cut too big that it was burnt outside and not cooked inside. In short, the taste was different every time. Because I love to eat, I have to order it every time when I go out to eat, and the taste of sweet and sour tenderloin made in different restaurants is also unique. After my own constant thinking, I have done a great job in studying and practicing this dish. But my mother taught me other cooking, and almost forgot all about it. Even if you give me rich ingredients, you can only make a hodgepodge stew, which tastes very sorry.
So even after learning to cook, we should always practice more to keep improving. Just like when we were young, we often recited "Mow the grass at noon," and everyone knows what the next sentence is. Because of frequent practice, it is often said that it has been integrated into our blood, forming a natural reflex of conditions. And it's not just cooking, we have learned any kind of skills, and we have to review the old and learn the new in order to achieve mastery.
