Hainan is a province of People's Republic of China (PRC), located at the southernmost tip of China. It consists of several islands, the largest of which is also called Hainan Island. When we say "Hainan" in Chinese, we usually refer to Hainan Island. In order to emphasize that it refers to a province, some people say Hainan Province ("Hainan Province").

Hainan Island is called Pearl Cliff, Jade Cliff and Qiongzhou Preference, and the abbreviations of the last two provinces are Qiong (in Chinese).
During the period of the Three Kingdoms, Hainan was a vassal state. Hainan is the last area in China controlled by Chiang Kai-shek's Kuomintang. From March to May 6th. 5438+0950, Hainan Island landed and fought to seize the island for the Chinese Communist Party.
