Raising swallows at home can catch grasshoppers, earthworms and so on. Buy bread worms in the field or in the market to feed them. Swallows can also eat grains such as millet and wheat, and occasionally feed them. Almost all swallows only feed on invertebrates in the air, mainly mosquitoes, fruit flies and other insects. Only the two-color tree swallows often live on plant berries, and only when there are few insects.
To raise swallows, you can feed some chicken feed, soak them in soft water to help digestive biscuits, and mash them into broken fruits and eggs. Occasionally, you can also feed some powdered vitamins to supplement nutrition. Usually, it is fed once every two hours, with about four bites at a time, and each bite only needs the amount of soybeans. Eat less and eat more, don't overeat every time, and pay attention to balanced nutrition.
If the baby bird can't open its mouth, you can help it open it with your hands and dip the prepared cotton swab into the food for feeding. You can also dip chopsticks in food and put it on the swallow's mouth to induce it to eat. When the swallow is in poor health, put it in a warm and weak nest first, let it recover its strength quietly, and then feed it.
