China Xijing Xi has been called Xijing for several dynasties in history. Hao Jing, the ancestor of the Western Zhou Dynasty, was nicknamed Xijing in the Western Han Dynasty and Chang 'an, the capital of Xijing in the Eastern Han Dynasty. In the second year of Cao Wei and Huang Chu (22 1), Chang 'an was listed as one of the five capitals. In the first year of Guangzhai in Wuzhou (684), Wuhou moved its capital to Luoyang, known as Tokyo, and Chang 'an became the capital of Xijing. Tang Zhongzong Shenlong was also the capital of Chang 'an in 706. In the second year from Tang Suzong to Germany (757), Chang 'an namely Jingzhao House was changed to Zhongjing, Fengxiang was changed to Xijing Fengxiang House, located in Fengxiang County, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province.

Yalu House in Xijing, Bohai Kingdom in Tang Dynasty, is located in Linjiang, baishan city, Jilin Province, on the east bank of Yalu River in Cijiang Road, Korean Peninsula. The capital of the Northern Song Dynasty was Xijing Henan Province, which is now Luoyang City, Henan Province. Xiping county, the capital of Xixia, is located in lingwu city, Ningxia. Liao, Jin and Yuan Dynasties are both Xijing Datong Prefecture, located in Datong City, Shanxi Province. Jinling was originally the capital of the national government of the Republic of China, and it was planned to build its capital in Xi 'an, Shaanxi Province, and later renamed Xijing.

In other East Asian countries, Yamaguchi, Japan, is nicknamed "Xijing area" because it is located west of Kyoto. The king of the Korean peninsula changed Pyongyang to Xijing in 926. Hu Ceng moved its capital to Viet Nam's Khanh Hoa province. So it is not.
