Chinese cabbage is expressed as "Cai Lei and Clam" in Chaoshan dialect. Chaoshan dialect, formerly called "Chaozhou dialect", is now generally referred to as "Chaoshan dialect" or "Chaozhou dialect". It is also one of the oldest and most special dialects in China.
Chaoshan dialect is a branch of Minnan dialect, the language used by Chaoshan people in Guangdong Province, and the mother tongue of Chaoshan people. Although both belong to a branch of Minnan dialect, there are many differences between Chaoshan dialect and Minnan dialect.
