Anbian, Yibin: An ancient town with a history of more than 2,000 years along the Jinsha River, which flows slowly by taking a shortcut.
Hello, I'm Xijiang Yuyue. I like staring blankly, reading books and walking alone. Let's go to the countryside, to the fireworks market, to experience the bright colors of the world of mortals, and to feel the same or different lives.

Anbian Ancient Town is located in Xuzhou District, Yibin District, on the north bank of Jinsha River, the border river between Sichuan and Yunnan, and across the river from Shuifu County, Yunnan Province.

In ancient times, Anbian was the place where people in Bohai lived. By the way, it's a Bo tribe.

The geographical location of Anbian ancient town is very important. This is the intersection of Jinsha River and Hengjiang River, the junction of Sichuan and Yunnan, and has always been an important frontier.

This is the intersection of Wuchi Road in Qin Dynasty. Wuchi Road is an ancient post road connecting southern Sichuan and northern Yunnan during the Qin Dynasty. It is part of the famous Southern Silk Road. Because most of them are mountain roads, it is difficult to repair. The ancient road is only five feet wide, so it is called five-foot road, also known as "Shimen Road". This ancient road leads directly to Zhuti (now Zhaotong), so it is also called Zhuti Road.

Jinsha River is an important waterway in southern Sichuan, and Hengjiang River is an important waterway for trade between southern Sichuan and northern Yunnan. Silver and copper produced in Zhaotong, Yunnan Province are mainly transported to Sichuan and the Central Plains through Hengjiang, and well salt produced in Sichuan is also transported to Yunnan through Hengjiang.

Anbian, as its name implies, means to stabilize border areas. In the fourth year of Jiading in Song Dynasty (12 1 1), the envoys of Sichuan made an appointment with Anbian Temple, and there were always post stations here in later dynasties. During the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, Anbian set up a township to build a field, which was called "Anbian Field" by the locals.

Because of such an important geographical location, Anbian has become the center of cargo transshipment and distribution. From the Ming and Qing Dynasties to the Republic of China, Anbiantian was the most prosperous period. Bulk commodities transported by land and water from south to north, such as grain, wood, cloth, medicinal materials, brown sugar, well salt, livestock products, mountain products and mineral products, are all transported here.

Anbianchang has become the most lively and prosperous place in this area. People from eight surrounding towns and villages will come here to trade, and even villagers from Shuifu County, Yunnan Province, across the street will come by boat to catch the show. The ferry between Anbian and Xiaoanba is very busy from morning till night. There are always villagers carrying baskets or carrying burdens on the ferry. The daily passenger flow here exceeds 1 10,000 people.

At that time, there were rice shops, salt shops, silk shops, grain shops, grocery stores, sewing shops, blacksmiths, barber shops, paper shops, wood shops, teahouses, restaurants and hotels, and the business was booming.

With the improvement of land transportation, especially the construction of bridges, the smooth flow of railways, and the gradual decline of waterway transportation, Anbian is gradually depressed like other ancient towns that are prosperous because of water, and now the permanent population is only a few hundred.

Only those ancient buildings that have experienced the vicissitudes of the world and the storms of the years are still telling the prosperity and noise of yesterday in Anbian.

Cao Shi family ancestral temple was built in the 9th year of Jiaqing (1804). It is a quadrangle building with brick and wood structure, combining Chinese and western styles. The main entrance of the courtyard reads "Pingyang Shide", because Cao Can, the ancestor of Cao Zhi, was the Pingyang Hou of the Western Han Dynasty. The "Qiaoxian Heritage" written on the purlin is because Cao, a famous in the Three Kingdoms period, was originally from Qiaoxian County, which is today's Bozhou, Anhui Province.

The Qiujia Courtyard was built in the early years of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty, facing the Shuangjiangkou at the confluence of Shimen River and Jinsha River. The main building is a pure wooden structure with carved windows, which is exquisite and gorgeous, and belongs to a typical traditional residential building in southern Sichuan.

During the "battle to protect the country", it was the place where Sichuan and Yunnan soldiers passed. Liu Cunhou, commander-in-chief of Sichuan National Defence Force, who issued a declaration to beg Yuan, was later named General Chongwei, and the courtyard where Anbian lived was called "General's House" by the locals.

The surging Jinsha River and Hengjiang River flow day and night, and only some people who like the ancient town will come to this ancient town with a history of more than 2,000 years and linger.
