Wang Pan (about 1470 ~ 1530) was born in Gaoyou, Jiangsu, and his real name was hung-chien. The writers and painters of Sanqu in Ming Dynasty also knew medicine, and were called the crown of Nanyin.

When I was young, I didn't take the imperial examination. I have never been an official in my life. I am addicted to landscape poetry and painting, building a building in the west of the city, and singing songs with literati all day long, hence the name "West Building". Sanqu has a wide range of themes. During the period of Zheng De, eunuchs were in power. When they arrived in Gaoyou, they blew their trumpets to disturb the people and made a satire "Blowing the Trumpet to the Emperor". There are 65 poems and 9 divertimentos in Wang Pan Sanqu, all of which belong to Nanqu. He is the author of Wang Qianlou Yuefu, Qing Jiang Yin Tomb-Sweeping Day's Travels, Picnics, Poems of the West Building, etc.
