Ingredients:
1 piece of sausage
10 chestnuts
One cup of rice
An appropriate amount of water
A little light soy sauce
An appropriate amount of fried shallots (can be omitted)
Recipe method:
1. The raw material is chestnuts , sausage. Peel the chestnuts and break into small pieces, and cut the sausage into cubes. The sausage can be Cantonese-style sausage, Sichuan-style sausage, etc. As long as you like to eat it, any flavor of sausage can be used. The chestnut rice produced also has its own flavor.
2. Add fried shallots if available, it will add a lot of flavor. If not, just skip it.
3. Stir-fry the sausage until fragrant to release the fat, add chestnuts and stir-fry a few times until fragrant.
4. Wash the rice and add the usual amount of water for cooking rice. Put all the ingredients into the rice cooker. (Or cook rice in the most primitive way like me. Cast iron pots and clay pots are all fine.)
5. If you use a rice cooker, the rest of the work is waiting. If you use a clay pot like me, bring it to a boil over high heat.
6. Turn to medium-low heat until the water dries up, open the lid and check the situation. (About 5 minutes.)
7. Add fried shallots (optional) and a little light soy sauce, turn off the heat, cover the pot and simmer for 10 minutes.
8. Don’t be greedy for too many sausages. I think one sausage is enough for one person. This is delicious, but it must be in the right proportion. Too much sausage will make you feel tired.
Okay, mix well and eat, quack!
