Recipes for relatives to entertain guests
1953 I was born in the countryside. I remember when I was twelve. During the Spring Festival, my grandfather and I went to my aunt's house to pay New Year's greetings. Of course, there were no bicycles at that time. We walked. My grandfather is pushing a cart, which contains a dozen cabbages and other Chinese New Year things. I walked and played, seven or eight miles, and soon arrived at my aunt's house.

After entering the door, say hello to your aunt and pay New Year greetings, and then say hello to your uncle and aunt. My aunt is kind-hearted, holding my hand, and her face is full of smiles. This is the first time I have met my aunt.

I remember having a big lunch at my aunt's house. Pork stewed vermicelli, stewed chicken, fried cabbage, and cold dishes such as pork liver and fat intestines. Pork is divided by the production team, and pork liver and intestines are drawn by lot. Chickens are slaughtered by our own chickens, and vegetables are grown in our own garden. Rice is processed from rice divided by the production team and then steamed.

This is the meal I had at my relatives' house during my stay in the production team.

thank you

Thank you: there are only my parents in the countryside, and there is no pro-prestige in the countryside. Two uncles are separated by 1800 miles, and one is separated by more than 100 miles. It takes 45 minutes by train and over an hour to get there. I didn't go to my uncle's house for the New Year, but my uncles and sisters all came on the first day of the first month.

There is nothing delicious in my house, and they are willing to eat, saying that I have nothing to eat at home, and I am willing to eat.

Visiting relatives is different in different areas. In our northeast corner, visiting relatives and friends is off-season. Generally, after the autumn harvest, and after the Spring Festival, these two periods are the period of visiting relatives and friends. If the autumn harvest is over, you will usually kill a rooster to entertain guests when you go to a relative's house or a friend's house in the future. The average family has many Spring Festival after the Spring Festival. As long as you take out a few inexhaustible things, you can entertain guests. Generally speaking, every household can take out a little chicken, duck, fish, pig, sheep and beef to entertain guests. This is our situation in Gada.

Most families can only eat meat on holidays, so it is conceivable that their life is very easy at ordinary times, and it is good for tourists to have good food and be full.

I was born in the early fifties. Because my parents have to go to work, I have lived in my hometown in the countryside since I was a child, and I didn't return to Tianjin until I went to primary school. But I still have to go back to my hometown during the holiday. There is nothing to eat! Scrambled eggs are the best! But there is no oil! Is to wipe the bottom of the pot with sheep tail oil. The grain is mainly tortillas.

My hometown is in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, and my family has relatives in the suburbs of Hangzhou, Ningbo, Shaoxing and Jiashan Tangxi Town. In the 1950s and 1960s, I was a child. When I was a teenager, I followed my adults to visit relatives in the countryside every year.

Every time we go to a relative's house, the old man of the relative's house will talk to us, and the young man will tie a fish basket around his waist and go out. We are a water town in the south of the Yangtze River. At that time, rivers and streams crisscrossed everywhere. At that time, young people were very good at swimming, and soon they could touch some big fish in the river. Sometimes, you can touch some eels and loaches, catch some crabs and turtles, and catch a bunch of shrimps. And these things are wild, and they taste particularly delicious. Although these things are very expensive in the market now, they were very cheap in the market at that time, and even if someone caught them and sold them, they could not sell them for a few dollars.

Thirteen-and fourteen-year-old children from relatives will go to the rice fields of the production team. Without much effort, they will pick up a big bag of snails and squeeze out a handful of bean sprouts. Squeezed bean sprouts, whether planted in the production team's field or in other farmers' private fields, just say hello to the cadres of the production team or shout to the owner of the private field: Uncle X, Hangzhou Gu Naijia is here, I'll pinch some bean sprouts. The owner will wave and pinch happily.

As for vegetables, all kinds of melons, vegetables and tomatoes. They are all planted in the small piece of land in front of and behind relatives' houses, and they are all picked and taken to the kitchen.

There are pickled bamboo shoots and eel sharks at the dinner table hosted by relatives.

As for wine, most of them are home-brewed rice wine, which is white, low in degree and sweet, and tastes a bit like fermented rice wine.

When visiting relatives in rural areas, I am most afraid of eating dried plums, but relatives in rural areas pay special attention to this dish, which is considered to be the most advanced and delicious dish for entertaining relatives. Every time I go, this dish must be on the table. This is a large piece of pork, with skin and most of the fat, stewed with dried plums pickled by farmers. When eating, relatives are especially polite. Several elders put this big fat meat into my rice bowl. I can't refuse out of courtesy, so I have to put up with it. Who knows that I just managed to eat a few large pieces of fat in the bowl, and in the blink of an eye, my relatives brought me a few more pieces in the bowl.

In the 1950s and 1970s, when I returned to my hometown from Beijing for the New Year, I must go to menstruation's home. Every time I go to menstruation's house, menstruation always keeps something delicious for me. In addition to cooking noodles and steamed bread for dinner, she always keeps snacks such as walnuts and dates for me to eat.

At that time, when I went to the countryside, I went to my hometown to eat delicious food, such as pancakes and scrambled eggs, fried cakes, braised dishes, noodles, all kinds of noodles, all kinds of bean jelly, Youmian jiaozi and so on.

Then there are the pigs, cattle, horses and mutton that are killed now, and the chickens that are killed now are all things without additives and pollution.

One dollar 16 eggs, big eggs.

At that time, the production team only had a week of heavy rain, and the light rain did not rest. Farmers generally did not go to relatives' homes to observe silence. They usually get married, have a grand funeral, celebrate their lives, take time off on holidays to visit their relatives, give birth to a full moon, build a house, and so on. So naturally, they were all entertained by big fish and big meat. On grand occasions, it is much more polite to kill chickens, ducks, pigs, sheep and cows than in the city. As for the necessity of courtesy, there was a popular saying at that time, which was called "human feelings are like evidence, you come and I go."

Relatives at home are not strangers, so it is necessary to eat jiaozi and stir-fry some hometown dishes. Send some sesame oil, peanuts, sesame seeds and mung beans when you leave. Play cards for half a day after dinner. When we were young, our happiest thing was to expect our aunts to visit our grandparents and bring delicious gifts such as steamed bread, steamed buns and jujube cakes. Eating jiaozi and avoiding jiaozi, full of happiness.
