Earthworms: Except in winter, there are a lot of earthworms in almost other seasons. Earthworms like humidity, are not tolerant of drought and are afraid of waterlogging. Whenever the temperature rises in spring, earthworms can be dug everywhere in the fertile vegetable garden. Earthworms should be the first choice if they are used to breed frogs. In the field, as long as there is an earthworm moving by the grass, it will quickly jump in front of the earthworm and swallow it, which shows how much frogs like to eat earthworms.
Second, grasshoppers
Grasshoppers: Grasshoppers, also called locusts, grow and reproduce very fast. In the north of Guangxi, locusts mainly inhabit weeds beside grass crops in vegetable gardens, rice fields and hillsides. Usually they hide in the grass, and when the seedlings of crops grow out, they begin to harm crops. Frogs are just masters at catching locusts. Generally speaking, from May to September every year, it is the peak period of locusts in crops. During this time, frogs have nothing to eat, but there are too many grasshoppers to catch.
Third, most rice pests
Rice leaf roller, rice planthopper, rice planthopper: Rice seedlings in rice fields are harmed by rice leaf roller, rice planthopper, rice planthopper and other pests every year. Due to the high temperature in summer and abundant water in the field, these pests are extremely suitable for growth and reproduction in rice fields, and rice will reproduce for more than four generations in one season. This time is also the heyday of frog activities in the field, so from March to July, rice leaf roller, rice planthopper, rice planthopper and other pests are better food for feeding frogs.
Fourth, Tenebrio molitor
Tenebrio molitor: Tenebrio molitor is an insect with high nutritional value, which frogs especially like to eat. Because it is farmed artificially, its economic value is relatively high. Although frogs prefer to eat, but the cost is too high, it is generally not recommended to feed frogs with Tenebrio molitor.
