Brief introduction of Lin Shunchao
Lin Shunchao, male, was born in Hong Kong in June of19591/kloc-0. A native of Xi Zhong Village, Tiantian, Jiedong District, Jieyang City, Guangdong Province. Lin Shunchao graduated from King's College and obtained a bachelor's degree in general medicine from the University of Hong Kong in June 1984.

1998 Up to now, he has been the head of the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and has held various positions, including the head of Shantou University-Chinese University of Hong Kong joint Shantou International Ophthalmology Center.

Lin Shunchao participated in a number of ophthalmology internal medicine and surgical research. He has operated on many ophthalmic cases, including the first amoeba eye surgery in Hong Kong and the first orbital nerve sheath eye surgery in the world. His research scope also includes myopia and related eye diseases.

Lin Shunchao is enthusiastic about ophthalmology-related public welfare affairs, actively participates in eye protection activities in Hong Kong and China, personally goes to China for eye surgery and educates mainland doctors; 1997 participated in the preparations for the Health Express, and 1999 established the Bright Action Eye Protection Fund. In 2004, he planned the "Caring is the Trend" rural poverty alleviation medical plan donated by Li Ka-shing Foundation100000 RMB. From June 5, 2006 to 10, Project Vision initiated with other Hong Kong medical professionals, focusing on poverty alleviation and blindness elimination in Chinese mainland. It is planned to set up 100 cataract surgery stations in hospitals in poor areas in the mainland in the next five years, raising a total of 1 100 million RMB.

Lin Shunchao was selected as 1994 Top Ten Outstanding Youth in Hong Kong, 1995 Outstanding Youth in the World, 1998 Outstanding Youth Leader in Hong Kong, and the World Tomorrow Leader in 2000. He once compiled his childhood and school memories into a book. In June 2008, he was elected as a deputy to the National People's Congress in Hong Kong. In May of the same year, he was elected as the torchbearer of the Hong Kong torch relay for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
