Those things that seem simple are actually quite difficult.
I have always wanted to choose a good name for my website, because I have a name in mind and it feels very simple. But when it came time to register, I was always prompted: "This name is already occupied." Because some websites cannot change their names after they are registered. I retreated and chose the next name: Gullhead Fish.
Why? Because the "canned fish" was occupied. In the end, I could only choose the homophone word "guan". After picking up the name, I found it quite sad because I was surrounded by celebrities named "cat" all around me. Isn't this the rhythm of being eaten? A chill suddenly arose. However, it was very labor-intensive to change it again and again, and in the end I just stopped making changes.
Recently, a website editor asked me to be a columnist, which was a real honor. But the editor reminded me that the name "Gullhead Fish" was not loud enough and suggested that I change it to another name. I thought, what name can I change? So I came up with the following ones:
"A small stuffed fish", "A small fish", "A big fish", "A school of fish", "What a big school of fish" ...
The editor asked me: "Otherwise, would you like to think about it again?"
I know that I can't come up with a name, and even if I do, I may not be able to get a few URLs. All registered. In the end I said no need, let's just "fill the head fish". In fact, choosing a name is not a big deal, but it is difficult to choose a name that sounds good and is unique.
Just like writing an article, you can write whatever you want, but whether it meets the requirements of a good article depends on the article’s conception, structure, and the beauty of the text. . There is another thing in our lives that fully illustrates that a seemingly simple thing is actually very difficult to do well. For example, shopping for groceries.
The other thing is buying groceries at home. Many people think that shopping for food is much easier than cooking, but this is not true. Because cooking can be done according to recipes, but shopping for food at home is the most difficult thing to do. Why?
First, there are too many types of dishes. From vegetables to chicken, duck, and fish, the variety is dazzling. Second, cooking generally requires matching. If you are a chef in a restaurant or hotel, it's easy. You just need to buy all the dishes on the menu. But for family-style meals, it’s almost impossible to have a set menu. In order to maintain nutritional balance, home cooks need to find ways to make their families eat well and healthily. Therefore, many cooks are easily confused when they go shopping without thinking about the menu in advance, especially when they suddenly encounter the seasonal dishes that have just been released. For example, I already had a draft of the menu in mind at the beginning, and when I saw the taro that had just been put on the market, I bought it as soon as I was interested. But after buying it, I thought: How to make taro delicious? What to pair with it? Cooking alone is too boring. Thinking about this, I fell into the whirlpool of thinking and couldn't extricate myself. Third, it’s hard to adjust with heavy words. In a family, it is difficult for everyone to have the same taste. For example, some people want to eat chives, but some people find chives unpalatable. In order to provide everyone with a good meal, housewives sometimes have to make one dish into two flavors. Therefore, it is not easy to be a housewife.
The last step is mopping the floor. Speaking of this matter, I have to mention a very embarrassing thing. When I first stayed at school, it was my turn to be on duty in the dormitory. I usually didn't do any housework at home. My mother often tells me to learn, saying that girls who don’t know how to do housework will be laughed at outside. I didn't take it seriously at the time, thinking that I could learn the housework at a glance and there was nothing I needed to learn. At that time, I was very confident that I could mow the ground in three strokes, five divisions and two strokes.
"Ah, who mopped the floor? It's so dirty!" The roommate said in disgust and surprise when he came in. I was a little angry at that time. How could it be dirty after mopping it so well? But when I looked down, I was stunned. I saw that the floor turned into a zebra crossing: the areas where the mop touched and the areas that were not mopped were clearly differentiated. But I was still not convinced and thought to myself: Didn’t I just miss some places? As for what all the fuss is about?
So, I quickly dragged it again. After mopping the floor, I stood there proudly with the mop, like a winner waiting for everyone's congratulations. With the fan running quickly, the floor dried quickly. At this time, the surface of the floor changed from zebra crossings to various irregular grids, as if primary school students had scrawled on the floor. The roommates lined up and looked at me, who was innocent, and sighed and shook their heads: "So you really don't know how to mop the floor?". My face immediately turned red, and I was so ashamed that I wanted to hide in a crack in the ground. When she learned that I had never done any housework, the dormitory principal did not blame me. Considering that everyone was responsible for the hygiene of the dormitory, she patiently taught me how to mop the floor.
It turns out that the floor must be swept once before mopping (to remove paper scraps and dust), and the mop must be cleaned before mopping (a dirty mop will make the floor dirtier). When mopping the floor, twist the mop to half dry (a mop that is too wet will make it difficult to clean the floor; a mop that is too dry will make it difficult to remove dust.). When mopping the floor, push and pull, and pay attention to the even width without falling into dead corners. After learning this again, I found that the floor was immediately clean. But I also suffered from back pain. Suddenly, I understood why my mother wanted me to learn to do housework. It turns out that doing housework is also a science, and it is really not simple.
From this point of view, whether it is study, life, or even work. We all encounter many simple things, but these things seem simple but are not easy to do.
It would be a pity if we take things lightly because we think they are simple and fail to grasp them well.
Therefore, if we want to accomplish something, no matter how simple it is, we must do it with our heart to achieve success.
