Ground silkworm, a plant of Stachys in Labiatae. Bombyx batryticatus is its tuber. Distributed in Zhejiang, Fujian, Hunan, Jiangxi, Guangdong and Guangxi. It has the effects of nourishing kidney, moistening lung, nourishing yin and blood, clearing away heat and relieving vexation. It is often used for cough due to pulmonary tuberculosis, asthma due to lung deficiency, vomiting blood, night sweats, anemia and infantile malnutrition.
