(1) seed propagation. In the first and middle of March, mix Artemisia argyi seeds with 3-4 times of dry fine soil, sow them directly, and drill them. The row spacing of drill sowing is about 3 cm. After sowing, cover the soil and water it. Generally, seedlings can emerge in late March. After emergence, seedlings should be spaced and evenly distributed in time, and seedlings should be replanted where seedlings are missing.
(2) asexual reproduction. Plant in separate plants. In the first and middle of May, leave a seed field, dig up the Artemisia argyi plants by roots, cut off the tender tips at the top, plant 1-2 plants in each hole according to the row-to-plant spacing of 45×4 cm on the constructed border, step on them tightly and water them, and the trees can live after 5-7 days. Stem layering propagation. From July to August every year, the semi-lignified stems are cut off flush with the ground, and the tender tips at the top are cut off. On the whole border, ditches are dug at a depth of 5-7 cm according to the row spacing of 35-4 cm, and the stems of Artemisia selengensis are planted horizontally in the ditches, with the head and tail connected, and then covered with soil, watered enough, and the soil is always kept moist to promote rooting and germination. Cutting propagation. From the end of June to August every year, the stem of Artemisia selengensis, which grows vigorously, is cut off from the tender tip at the top, and cut into 2 cm long segments. On the built border, 4-5 segments are inserted obliquely according to the row-plant spacing of 35×3 cm, and 1/3 of each hole is exposed on the ground. After treading tightly and pouring enough water, it can take root and sprout in about 1 days. Underground stem propagation. Can be carried out in all seasons. After the underground stems are dug out, the old stems and roots are removed and cut into small sections, each section has 2-3 sections, shallow ditches are opened every 1 cm on the constructed border surface, and each small section of rhizome is placed flat in the ditch, covered with thin soil and poured with sufficient water.
field management
(1) soil preparation and fertilization. It is appropriate to choose sandy loam with non-compositae crops, good irrigation conditions and fertile soil. Before planting, ploughing, turning, drying (freezing) and applying sufficient low fertilizer, and applying 3-4 kilograms of decomposed pig and cow dung or about 15 kilograms of decomposed cake fertilizer every 1/15 hectare, and preparing the soil for the border, with the border width of 1.5-2 meters and the deep ditch height. During the growth period, topdressing should be carried out once from September to October, and 1 kilograms of urea should be used every 1/15 hectare, so as to promote the vegetative growth of Artemisia selengensis and prevent premature aging in the later period.
(2) weed removal. The underground stems of Artemisia selengensis are mainly distributed in 5 ~ 1 cm soil layer. After planting live trees, weeds in the field should be pulled out in time to promote the root system to develop well and accumulate more nutrients.
(3) water. Artemisia selengensis is very resistant to humidity and drought, so it should be watered frequently in high temperature and dry season to keep the field moist and promote growth.
(4) pest control. During the growth of Artemisia selengensis, pests and diseases often occur, mainly including aphids, gall, corn borer, cotton bollworm, thorn moth and Artemisia selengensis, which can be controlled by high-efficiency and low-residue pesticides such as chlorfluazuron, chlorfluazuron and pyrethroid.
Greenhouse coverage
After the overground part of Artemisia selengensis is withered by severe frost, the stems of Artemisia selengensis should be cut off on the ground, the dead branches, leaves and weeds in the field should be removed, and the soil should be loosened shallowly. 1 kg of urea or 8 kg of compound fertilizer should be sprayed every 1/15th hectare, and water should be poured on the soles of the feet. After 5-7 days, the plastic film should be buckled. Generally, it is carried out from late November to early December, and at the same time, the plants are directly covered with plastic film, and the periphery of the shed is tightly compacted. If the soil moisture is too high, the plastic film mulching can be postponed. At noon on sunny days, we should ventilate in the leeward to reduce the air humidity in the shed. The greenhouse covering technology of Artemisia selengensis has been rapidly popularized and applied since its development in 1994.
Artemisia selengensis can be cultivated in the open field or in facilities. Artemisia selengensis cultivated in facilities can be covered in different ways, by stages and in batches, and can be put on the market in advance, lined up and balanced. Artemisia argyi cultivated in greenhouse can be harvested 4 ~ 45 days after mulching and when the plant height is 2 ~ 25 cm. Artemisia ordosica cultivated in the open field germinates spontaneously with the change of natural temperature. When the average temperature of the day is 12 ~ 18℃, the tender stems grow rapidly, and the first half of April is the peak of Artemisia ordosica in the open field. When harvesting, use a sharp knife to cut it on the ground of Artemisia selengensis. Except for a few heart leaves, all the other leaves on the tender stems are erased, tied and packed in the shade, covered with wet cloth and softened for 8-1 hours, and then it can be put on the market. Artemisia argyi is covered in the greenhouse. After the first harvest, weeds, residual branches and leaves should be removed immediately, and fertilizer water should be topdressing, and 5 ~ 1kg urea should be topdressing every 1/15th hectare. The management after covering is the same as above. In this way, after 45 ~ 5 days, the second crop is harvested. In general, Artemisia selengensis in greenhouse can harvest 2 ~ 3 crops in winter and spring, and the yield of 1/15 hectare can reach 8 ~ 1 kg.
