Pulsatilla chinensis is a perennial herb of Ranunculaceae, with rhizome, oval leaves and blue-purple calyx. Aliases are helpless grass, pink milk grass, bald grass, old aunt grass and so on.

It is distributed in hills, slopes and fields in Jilin, Liaoning, Hebei, Shandong, Henan, Shanxi, Shaanxi and Heilongjiang provinces. It has the effects of clearing away heat and toxic materials, cooling blood to stop dysentery, eliminating dampness and killing insects, and has high medicinal value. Pulsatilla chinensis can be naturally planted in gardens, used to decorate flower beds, both sides of roads, or dotted in glades. It is an ideal ground cover plant variety.
