Wuchuan's floating color originated in Huang Po Town. The floating colors, clay sculptures and flower bridges in Wuchuan City, Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province are called the "Three Wonders of Wuchuan", and the floating colors are the first of the "Three Wonders". According to Chen Shouquan, a folk artist from Huang Po Town, during the late Qing Dynasty, eight villages in Huang Po, Wuchuan, often held god-wandering competitions, and there were costumes and parades to show drama clips, commonly known as "land colors", which attracted attention. In order to win the support of other villages, he and his father creatively held a costume parade. On a wooden box, they designed "Who gave birth", and Xiao flew in the wind on the lotus, so it was called "floating color". After this set of floating colors was exhibited, it traveled all over Huang Po and sensationalized the whole county, which is the origin of Wuchuan floating colors.

Every year on the eighth day of the fourth lunar month, it is a grand festival for Li people in more than a dozen natural villages such as Shanggao Village in Pingze, Huang Po Town, Wuchuan City, Guangdong Province. On this day, each of them will hold a "tour of Deng Gong" activity. Early in the morning, colorful gates made of bamboo poles rose up at the entrance to the village and the bridge head. Under the banner of "Celebrating April 8th", huge couplets of "In April, there were a sea of people, thunder drummed, dragons and phoenixes danced around the world" and "On the 8th, I greeted the sage in the countryside with joy and played a beautiful spring in Yan language" soared into the sky. At 10 in the morning, honor guards, bunting teams, drum bands, martial arts teams, flower teams, etc. Opened the road, lions and unicorns danced. Then, a group of dashing girls dressed in Tang costumes and emerald underwear danced colorful dragons. The other team, the equally imposing Yellow Dragon Dance Team, followed closely, one by one imposing, beautiful and bearded. Looking forward carefully, they are all pretty girls with graceful waist, with two black beards of different lengths painted on their faces. At one time, the two dragons were neck and neck. Huangpo is located in the plain with dense water network, and the Dragon Boat Festival is very windy. Pingze Village and Tiaoge Village hold grand dragon boat races every year.
