Children's abilities are beyond the imagination of adults. Some time ago, I read a report that an eight-year-old girl got up at five o'clock in the morning to cook, served food to her paralyzed father, fed her younger brother who was under two years old, packed her things at home, and then took up her schoolbag and went to school.

This girl became independent very early because of her special family environment. Put all the housework in order. It is said that children's academic performance is also good.

On the other hand, most of our only children can't do housework because of their superior family conditions. Many families regard learning as their children's main business and skill training as an effective supplement. There are also things like doing housework, and try not to let children do it.

The consequence of this practice is that many children learn to be independent only when they go to college. Our country is now learning from western developed countries in many ways. Therefore, children's housework has become a hot topic for everyone.

My view is clear: everything should be analyzed on a case-by-case basis. Every child has different growing environment, different personality and different abilities. Whether to do housework varies from person to person.

But there is a big principle that must be grasped: housework is to exercise children's ability, not to do it for the sake of doing it. As for whether it affects learning, it depends on the child's own ability. What parents should do is to guide, not to force.
