What is the parrot index?
Pasher index is an index calculation method proposed by another German statistician H Pasher in 1874. When calculating the composite index, it fixes the same measurement factor as the reported option weight.

As mentioned in the previous example, the following calculation results can be obtained by using Parrot index:

Sales index = 81000/64000 =126.56%

Price index = 81000/70000 =115.71%

Extended data:

Laplace index

Laplace index is an index calculation method proposed by German statisticians laspeyres and 1864. It fixes the same measurement factor as the base option weight when calculating the comprehensive index.

According to the previous example, the following calculation results are obtained by using Laplace index:

Sales index =70000/55000= 127.27%

Price index = 64000/55000 =116.36%

The sales volume of new menu dishes is 27.27% higher than that of old menu dishes. The price of the new menu is 16.36% higher than that of the old menu.
