The Historical Evolution of Jiangdong Town
1950 established Jiangdong Township, 1955 merged into the countryside, 1958 was called commune, 1983 was renamed Jiangdong Township, and 1989 was renamed Jiangdong Town. Resident Hengdian Village, 1875 ~ 1908 (Guangxu period of Qing Dynasty) was called Hengdian Port at that time, and it was also called Songxi City at the end of Guangxu period, because there was a stream called Songxi in the north of the village. Because Hengdian Village is located in the east of Wuyi River, it was later renamed Jiangdong Natural Town.
