Before gastroscopy, dyclonine mucilage should be taken orally to anesthetize the throat. Within half an hour after gastroscopy, the pharyngeal anesthetic is still working. During this period, you are forbidden to eat and drink, so as to avoid food entering the trachea by mistake and causing suffocation or aspiration pneumonia. After gastroscopy, some patients may feel sore throat or foreign body sensation, and the symptoms will be relieved or disappeared after 2-3 days. Those with obvious symptoms can be treated with drugs such as Caoshanhu buccal tablets, watermelon frost throat moistening tablets and iodine-containing tablets. If biopsy is taken from diseased tissue during gastroscopy, spicy stimulation, tobacco, alcohol, coffee and fried cold food should be avoided within 1-2 days after examination, and liquid and semi-liquid foods such as porridge and egg custard can be eaten to prevent bleeding on the wound surface.
