Terrace transplantation formula
What's the difference between transplanting rice seedlings and throwing them in the countryside? Which yield is higher? Although I am a glasses brother, I grow rice as well!

In rural areas, the terraced field seedling planting in our mountainous areas has experienced the evolution from transplanting to throwing seedlings and then back to transplanting methods. The previous generation adopted the method of transplanting and planting, and later introduced the technique of throwing seedlings, and now it adopts the method of transplanting.

In the continuous evolution of the method, the difference and advantages and disadvantages of the two are clear at a glance. Next, according to my experience in planting seedlings on terraces in mountainous areas, I analyze the differences between them:

First, the seedling raising methods are different.

Transplanting can be raised in paddy fields or in dry fields. But throwing seedlings can only be raised in dry fields, and throwing seedlings in paddy fields is uneven.

Second, the timing of planting seedlings is different.

Transplanted seedlings can be transplanted at any time when the seedlings are about 10 to 20 cm. However, the thrown seedlings must not exceed 10 cm, otherwise many thrown seedlings will not touch the ground, and many floating seedlings will have a very low survival rate.

Third, rice fields have different water control.

The water depth of transplanting rice fields can be 1 cm to1cm. However, the water depth of the rice field where the seedlings are thrown should not exceed 1 cm, and it is best to throw them directly on the mud for the highest survival rate. Moreover, terraces in mountainous areas rely on rainwater to store water. In dry weather, throwing seedlings is easy to dry up because of less water storage, so transplanting seedlings is still used now.

Fourth, the row spacing and plant spacing are relatively unified, and the management of weeding, fertilization and spraying is convenient in the later stage, but the seedling throwing is relatively lacking.

In addition to the above four main differences, there are differences such as time-consuming and laborious transplanting and simple and quick throwing of seedlings.

As far as yield is concerned, there is no obvious difference between the two methods.

Whether transplanting or throwing seedlings, the ultimate goal of farmers is to increase production, planting is only the beginning, and post-management is more important. Let me simply add:

First, the management of fertilizer and water.

1. fertilizer management: apply sufficient base fertilizer before planting, control topdressing at tillering stage, and supplement strong grain fertilizer at embryo and flowering stage.

2. Water management controls water quantity according to the formula of "shallow-deep-shallow". Shallow water is needed at the current planting stage, deep water at the tillering stage and shallow water after flowering.

Second, pest control.

1. Common rice diseases include rice blast and sheath blight. Specific diseases should be carefully observed and the right medicine should be given.

2. The common pests are planthoppers, leaf rollers, fruit eaters and caterpillars.

This is my analysis of this problem. Welcome to leave a comment!
