Recently, at the invitation of a friend, I went to Dongshan Temple to relax and experience vegetarianism. If you haven't been to Dongshan Temple, you may not know where it is. As Buddhists say, where there is a relationship, there is a degree. The transverse reinforcement line goes all the way to the east and goes up the mountain opposite the Linglong Palace at the entrance of the village. At the end of the winding mountain road is Dongshan Temple. The outside of the temple is messy and wild, and the temple is full of people. With the busy construction and renovation, the beautiful memories of this ancient temple have been greatly reduced. Because the temple is still under repair and there is no gate, it is Tianwang Temple. On the lintel of the Buddhist temple, there is a plaque of 20 10 inscribed by Master Chuan Yin, President of the Chinese Buddhist Association. It is square and magnificent, and it also shows that Dongshan Temple is an extraordinary temple. When I entered the temple, I discovered the exquisiteness of the temple. Bodhisattvas and Buddha statues enshrined in Tianwang Temple are all carved with camphor wood. Although their faces are facing the sky, their knives are exquisite and fragrant. There are Buddhist things in the Hall of Ursa, and I can't wait to ask. The careful abbot arranged the pilgrimage ceremony. I don't have this belief, so I can only ask my partner to do it for me. Participants did not believe in the skills of men and women and managed to finish the ceremony. I guess the Buddha in the hall will forgive their operation and accept their sincerity.
Dongshan Temple's current abbot is Master Guang Chuan, who was in Dongshan Temple 17 and was also the vice president of Cixi Buddhist Association. We were invited to the wing for tea, to learn about the ins and outs of Dongshan Temple and our future vision. In our talk, we can feel Master Guang Chuan's confidence and confidence in developing Dongshan Temple. As a friend, I met the mage, and the mage ordered his disciple Master Haiyun to open the door of the Buddhist scripture building for us. Buddhist scripture building 20 1 1 is open together with Tianwang Hall. The Buddha screens, doors and windows enshrined in the building are also made of camphor, which is pure and adds Zen. There are pictures and texts of Buddhist allusions hanging on the building wall, which is not the place where I imagined to collect Yijin Sutra, and there is no sweeping monk. Coming out of the Buddhist scripture building, looking around, it is located in a quiet place, with lush bamboo and wood on the mountain, which contrasts with the yellow-walled glass of the mountain temple and presents an auspicious appearance. Song Zhenzong gave his forehead a "secluded cave mountain" too much, and the good memories that had been discounted soared. In an inconspicuous corner of a wing on the west side of the Buddhist Scripture Building, there is an unknown monument engraved with the words "mountains and bamboos, dust circles are left here", which must be the heartfelt sigh of the monument-setters who are fascinated by this scenic spot. At this moment, it reminds me of a pair of couplets hanging in a room when I passed by the monk's wing, "Castle Peak and Bamboo Arch Ancient Temple, Morning Bell and Twilight Drum Cry Every Dream", which set off the scene before me.
"The clouds in the ancient temple pass through the stone path, and the sound of spring sends farewell to the Vatican Palace." Chen Shu, a student in Qing Dynasty, also mentioned the beautiful scenery of the ancient temple in his poem Dongshan Temple, but we should give the word "ancient" to the humanities to show the "ancient" of history. Well-founded, of course, from the name of Dongshan Temple. First, according to legend, during the Red Wu period of the Three Kingdoms, Sun Quan's mother had a purple light and auspicious spirit overlooking the General Mountain, so she built the Dojo first. Because there was an ancient cave in front of the temple, it was named "Dongshan Temple". Later, a scholar named Hua Yan left the association that "white clouds seal ancient caves and the bright moon shines on empty mountains", which is more like supporting this statement, but it seems that the temple is named after the cave. The second statement is my analysis and speculation. When Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty was in middle age, Master Liang Jie built a "Cave Temple" in Xinfeng Mountain. His disciples, Ben Jishui and Cao Shan, preached Zen, and the master and apprentice began to understand the righteousness. Later generations named the cave of Dongshan and Cao. Later, Cao Dongzong's dharma veins were divided into "Dongshan School" and "Cao Shan School". Out of respect for Master, Dongshan disciples often set up Dojo in the name of Dongshan, such as Dongshan Temple in Ruizhou, Dongshan Temple in Huainan and Dongshan Temple in Zaoyang. Accordingly, the origin of the name of Dongshan Temple in Cixi seems more convincing. At the same time, according to the dynasty, refer to "Liang Kaiping was first established ..." According to Zhenhai County Records, when was Dongshan Temple built? Of course, the above speculation, which is true or false, remains to be verified. In addition, the word "East Jiao Shan Temple" recorded in Zhenhai County Records also has its origin. In ancient times, temples were divided into Zen temples (for Zen temples, they were places for meditation, enlightenment and practice), Dharma temples (Dharma temples for learning and spreading precepts), lecture temples (temples for learning Confucian classics and often telling things) and Jiao Jiao temples (temples for secular education). In the Ming Dynasty, Buddhist temples in the world were divided into Zen, lecture and lecture. Jiao Jiao refers to the method of performing music to benefit the economy. I'm afraid this is Dongshan Temple's original intention, and several beautiful talks left by Dongshan Temple in history are an in-depth exposition of the name "teaching altar". One is that during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, Hua Yan, a scholar who returned home with a crown, opened a library in Dongshan Temple to educate the people, which made the sound of books at that time endless and made him famous for a while. Secondly, a newsletter was published in Dongshan Temple during the Anti-Japanese War (the predecessor of the later New East Zhejiang Daily), which was used to strengthen faith, inspire people, educate people and promote the great cause of the Anti-Japanese War. There is a pair of couplets in the temple, "the cave is full of gold and six feet, attracting all beings to the other side;" There are 3,000 mountains in the Tibetan world, which are extraordinary. With goodness, enter an empty door. This pair of Tibetan couplets also explains the word "teaching", but the "other shore" of different beings in different periods is different.
In Dongshan Temple, it can be regarded as the "treasure of the town temple" and the Song Pagoda. Originally located in front of Baiyun Cave in front of the temple, there should be seven floors, which means seven pagodas. In the following year, it was in disrepair for a long time, and it still had five grades. 20 10, the first two sections are missing. It was suspected to have been stolen. Experts from Wenbaoyuan were invited to investigate and report the case, but it was later dropped. Some time ago, some villagers found the missing two paragraphs at the bottom of the ditch. Now, in order to strengthen protection, they moved to the temple with the remaining three sections and became the real treasure of the town temple. According to experts, it is recorded in the inscription of Toda Temple in Nara, Japan that the statue of this Song Pagoda is the same as that of Toda Temple in Nara, both made by Ningbo masons. Looking closely at the tower, the Millennium cultural relics are full of vicissitudes, but the relief is vivid, appropriate in proportion and full of beauty. The exquisite small tower embodies the dual values of history and culture. Speaking of the treasures of ancient temples, the nearby Baiyun Cave should be among them. I haven't been to the reason for this trip, but I can only regret that I will make it up next time.
In the temple, I am a vegetarian. Master Guang Chuan has a table full of vegetarian food. In fact, "sausage" and "sliced meat" are made of raw materials, and this meal makes us enjoy it. I have tasted vegetarian food in Putuo Temple in Zhoushan, Nanputuo in Xiamen and Lingyin yongfu temple, and all of them have left an excellent impression. In Cixi, vegetarianism is also quietly rising. The Meditation Vegetarian Restaurant in Shuimen Road, the Sufangzhai Healthy Vegetarian Restaurant in Dongshan Road and the Tongxin De Vegetarian Restaurant in the north of Possman are all touching people's eating concepts and habits. It is said that Changhe's ZTE promotes vegetarianism. The difference between vegetarian window and canteen window is that the vegetarian window has fruit as encouragement. The flavor of life is strong, and the roots of vegetables are fragrant. The revelation of vegetarianism is that when there are boring things in life, if you change your taste, it may be another village. Even if it is fruitful, to a certain extent. Just like the yellow dog around the dining table, Master Guang Chuan threw it a vegetarian piece, and it wagged its tail happily, forgetting the bone fragrance of the past. It is estimated that it is the result of Buddhism enlightenment and dog practice, which shows that change depends on self-discipline and environment. The same is true for promoting vegetarianism. The vegetarian food in Dongshan Temple has a lingering fragrance between the teeth and a lingering aftertaste in the heart, which is worth mentioning.
After lunch, after a short rest, we bid farewell to Master Guang Chuan and Master Haiyun. The moment I left Dongshan Temple, I saw that the Bell Tower had been newly built, but the location of the Drum Tower was still in ruins. Since ancient times, temples have been facing each other in the morning and evening. Perhaps the fate of the Drum Tower has not yet arrived. Looking at the lush green hills behind the temple, we only need to look at the disasters experienced by the ancient temple as it approached the other side step by step. When the Vatican Palace reappears, it is the time when the lotus is in full bloom. We have reason to believe!
