How to raise fish for the first time? Is there any way to save money and trouble?
The first step for novice fish farmers is how to open the tank, and then consider fish farming after successful opening. Opening the tank is very important for the survival of the fish behind. Opening the jar is also very simple. Mastering the following steps skillfully will make you take a big step towards successful fish farming.

1. Prepare materials

1) cylinder

Since it is an open cylinder, there must be a cylinder. Beginners don't recommend using large water tanks at the beginning of fish farming. They can start with a small water tank, which is cheap and practical, and is also conducive to better observing the changes of water bodies in the later stage.

2) Filter

There are many kinds of filters, such as cylinder filter, overhead filter and plug-in filter. Just choose one you like. Personally, I recommend an easy-to-clean plug-in filter, which is more suitable for beginners who are not familiar with the operation at first.

3) Potassium permanganate+nitrifying bacteria

Used to clean fish tanks and purify water bodies, and cultivate suitable water environment for fish.

disinfect

Disinfection of gas cylinders is very important for subsequent operations. If disinfection is not thorough, the fish put into the tank is likely to be infected by bacteria inside, resulting in scale and gastroenteritis. If it appears, it will be more difficult.

If it's a new tank, just wash it.

But if it is a dead fish tank, it needs to be disinfected carefully. Chlorine dioxide or potassium permanganate can be used for disinfection. In addition, the disinfection method can also be applied to the co-culture of fish and turtles, provided that the fish are large enough.

Here is a brief introduction to the disinfection method of potassium permanganate:

Add water according to the concentration of 3%-5%, and then soak the whole tank. As long as it is not an electrical product, all the equipment that will come into contact with the cylinder and water should also be soaked together. Rinse it after half an hour.

Trapped in the water

Trapped water is also called nourishing water, drying water and drying water. Trapped water means that the residual chlorine and chemicals in tap water are volatilized by air circulation, and the dissolved oxygen in the water is increased by aeration, so that tap water becomes water suitable for raising aquatic animals.

Fish in fish tanks are easily stimulated and hurt by residual chlorine and chemicals in tap water. For fish, chlorine will strongly corrode the mucosa of fish (mainly to prevent the invasion of bacteria), exceeding 0. 1ppm, which is a fatal threat to some sensitive fish.

Directly using tap water to raise fish, the morbidity and mortality will increase, and the growth rate of fish will also be delayed. Therefore, novice fish farmers must learn to be trapped in water, and every step is very important.

How to get trapped in the water:

Intercept tap water and put it in a suitable container to explode oxygen (find a high-power tile pump), preferably for more than 24 hours, and let the sun shine for two days without an oxygen pump. After the lid of the container is opened, the water cannot be trapped for more than a week, otherwise harmful bacteria and algae can easily breed in it.

Precautions:

Don't use bottled water to fill water. The contact area between water and air is too small, which is not conducive to chlorine volatilization. You need to find some containers with large contact area between water and air, such as foam boxes.

Break into the cylinder

This step is a key step. First, put the trapped water into a sterilized fish tank. The principle of this step is to let the filter in the tank establish a nitrification system to fully decompose the fish excrement. At this time, we can put a fish in the fish tank and observe it for a few days. This is breaking into a tank.

At this point, we have two choices:

1) Without adding nitrifying bacteria, the water body naturally produces nitrifying bacteria, forming a nitrifying environment. This process takes 15-30 days.

Before the nitrification environment occurs, it is necessary to observe whether the fish feces are decomposed, whether the water in the fish tank is white, and whether the fish is in good condition. During this period, no new fish may be put into the water. After the nitrification environment is formed, new fish should be released slowly, and the quantity should not be too much, once 1-2 fish, once every 3-5 days.

2) Nitrifying bacteria are added to make the water produce nitrifying bacteria faster and form a nitrifying environment. This process takes 7- 14 days

After completing these four steps, a tank will be opened, and we can start to raise fish smoothly!

Key points of saving money and trouble:

1. Buy blood cells in a jar, disinfect them thoroughly, and use tap water+bucket directly for trapped water.

1. Buy blood cells in a jar, disinfect them thoroughly, and use tap water+bucket directly for trapped water.

2. It is recommended to buy nitrifying bacteria. The total cost of potassium permanganate and nitrifying bacteria is around 25 yuan.

3. If you raise fish with low oxygen consumption, such as goldfish and betta fish, you don't need to buy an oxygenator to aerate, so you can leave it naturally for 2-3 days.
