What fruits or vegetables are suitable for growing on an 800-meter mountain?

Vegetable varieties suitable for high-altitude cultivation. The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau has high altitude, low temperature, and insufficient accumulated temperature during the growth period. Vegetable production is backward and technical strength is weak, which greatly limits vegetable production and supply. Since 1983, our school has selected 5 varieties suitable for high-altitude summer sowing from 24 Chinese cabbage materials; 5 varieties suitable for spring sowing from 17 cabbage materials. Most of their varieties are not only suitable for spring and summer sowing at high altitudes, but also for autumn sowing at low altitudes and low latitudes. It is an excellent variety with wide adaptability. Now we will introduce these varieties to our farmer friends, hoping that they will continue to play a greater role in vegetable production. 1. Chinese cabbage Lubai No. 3, Shandong No. 2, and Fengkang 70 are provided by the Shandong Chinese Cabbage Improved Variety Service Center; Lvcheng No. 4 and Chengqing No. 2 are provided by the Vegetable Research Institute of the Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences. These five varieties are all resistant to viral diseases. Except for Chengqing No. 2, which is resistant to soft rot, the other varieties are lightly susceptible to soft rot and downy mildew. Shandong No. 2 has the strongest adaptability. It can produce balls normally when sown at an altitude of 3,700 meters in early June and at an altitude of 1,350 meters in early September and mid-January. Other varieties are suitable for sowing in summer and autumn at altitudes below 3,300 meters. Table 1. Main characteristics of Chinese cabbage varieties. Table 2. Main traits of cabbage. The sowing period is delayed and shortened with the increase of altitude; the growth period is extended; and the immature planting rate increases. Yield is related to cultivation conditions and levels.
