Wengong cuisine is a traditional famous dish in Wuyishan area of Fujian Province, belonging to Fujian cuisine. The representative of authentic Chong 'an cuisine is jambalaya, also called Wengong cuisine. According to legend, Zhu Xuecheng was good at cooking, so he made it himself.
He was full of praise for the drinks collected by the "assorted" literati, which soon spread in the countryside. Because Zhu and posthumous title are both "literary men", they are also called "literary men". The students here must have this dish at home on the eve of the exam, praying that the candidates will be witty and get on the list in one fell swoop. For 800 years, Wengong cuisine has been circulated among the people, and now it has become a traditional banquet for VIPs.
Its making method is a little more complicated: first, spread a thin layer of fat slices on the porcelain plate, put balls made of refined meat and refined powder, then cover them with a thin layer of fried eggs, and finally steam white lentils around the bottom of the plate and add various seasonings.
When Zhu was 65,438+08 years old, he got a job in Xianggong, and when he was 65,438+09 years old, he was admitted to Jinshi. The villagers think this may be related to his love of this dish. Therefore, local scholars and juren should make this dish as a farewell dinner before the exam, hoping that the examination room can be like Zhu, with many ideas and be the champion.
When steaming, betel nut taro is placed on the bottom layer, and some people put peanuts or beans. Then spread egg skin and meat slices on it. Each sliced egg and skin holds a meatball. Fold it. Steamed.

Although he is a master of Neo-Confucianism, he has not only made great academic achievements, but also brought great influence to future generations in food culture.
The dishes he created were translated into new dishes by later generations with Zhuzi culture and compiled into a set of systematic recipes. More than ten unique dishes of Zhuzi family banquet are widely loved by people in Five Blessingg town, and are called "Zhuzi home cooking" or "Wengong family banquet", which has been circulated for more than 800 years.
Zhu, a Neo-Confucianist in Song Dynasty, paid attention to etiquette, was hospitable all his life, and abided by the family motto of "diligence and housekeeping". Because of this, he often carefully processed and produced local specialties, forming a distinctive, delicious and economical Zhu Zi family banquet.
