1, the first day of the first month. This is the first day of the Lunar New Year in China. In the traditional concept of Fuzhou people, the luck of this day will affect the luck of a year. Generally speaking, especially in the past, Fuzhou people stayed at home instead of going out on this day.
Don't use knives (including kitchen knives and scissors), don't sweep the floor, and don't sweep the garbage out of the house (sweeping the garbage out of the house means sweeping the money out of the house). It's best not to do housework. So all the dishes eaten this day are cut and washed the day before, just cooked, and some can even be eaten as long as they are heated.
People in Fuzhou must eat something on this day. Except vegetarians, they must eat the first meal. Vegetarians should eat after ten o'clock in the morning. That's too peaceful. Taipingmian is a special snack in Fuzhou.
Peace means using good soup (chicken soup, trotter soup, etc.). ) to soak noodles (noodles are also one of Fuzhou's specialties, which are made of flour into the same shape as noodles and then dried) and add an egg. This is the breakfast on the first day of the first month, and it is also the food that Fuzhou people used to entertain guests for the first time. This breakfast means a wife of one year, no disaster, good health and a long life.
3. The second day of the first month. This day is usually the day when a married daughter returns to her mother's house. The daughter took her husband and children, and the family returned to their parents' home safely (the daughter who got married on this day usually didn't bring anything home. )。 You can have lunch at your mother's house or not. Daughter's parents should prepare lucky money for their grandchildren.
From the third day of the first month to the fourteenth day of the first month. After her daughter returned to her mother's house, she began to take turns to have dinner with relatives and friends. Now she usually doesn't eat at home, but goes to a restaurant. This kind of banquet is mainly to strengthen the friendship between relatives and friends, because their work and life are usually busy, so we can get together and chat on the rare days of the Spring Festival.
5, the fifteenth day of the first month. This day is the busiest day on the streets of Fuzhou in the first month. Every year on the 15th day of the first month, Fuzhou has the habit of worshipping God. Worship is to carry the gods in the temple to the street. There are big-headed dolls before and after the statue, standing on stilts, and some dancing dragons or lions. There are still many people playing drums. Also set off firecrackers, fireworks and so on.
And Fuzhou people also have the habit of issuing lanterns on this day. Parents should send lanterns to Guanyin, their newly married daughter who has not yet given birth, hoping that the married daughter will give birth early and add luster to her husband's family. If a married daughter gives birth to a child, grandparents should give lanterns to nephews or nieces. Then the nephew or niece will burn paper lanterns. So in Nanhou Street, all kinds of paper lanterns are put up for sale in the first month of every year. Unfortunately, now more and more people use plastic lamps instead, and this traditional craft may soon be lost.
