Liaoyuan City is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Jilin Province, located in the south-central part of Jilin Province, on the upper reaches of Dongliao River and Huifa River. Named after the origin of the East Liaohe River, the geographical profile is "five mountains, one water and four fields".
