The tablet of Tongheju was inscribed by Pu Jie, the younger brother of the late Qing Emperor Puyi. According to historical records, in the early days of the establishment of Tongheju Store, some dignitaries of the imperial court frequented the store as a good place to eat, drink and have fun. In the Republic of China, some literati often came to get together, recite poems and discuss paintings. According to the materials found in Lu Xun Museum, Mr. Lu Xun has visited Tongheju many times to meet friends and colleagues. 19 12 September 1 Mr. Lu Xun, Xu Shoushang and Qian Daosun returned from Shichahai and passed by for lunch. The diary says, "Lunch is more like living together in the West Fourth Pailou than eating." Strongly praise the dishes that live together. 1932, Lu Xun visited his mother's illness in Peiping again, during which he met old comrades and friends in Tongheju. Former unnamed club members Tai Jingnong and Li made a special trip from Tianjin to visit Mr. Lu Xun. They invited Mr. Lu Xun to drink in the same room, which made them feel happy. There is also a master of Chinese painting, Mr. Qi Baishi, who once visited Tongheju and left Mo Bao, but it was accidentally lost during the Cultural Revolution and became a pity for Tongheju. Now Mr. Qi's son and grandson often visit our shop. Han Meilin, a great painter, often invites friends and relatives to his shop for party and dinner, and presents his own pictures and other things as a souvenir. Comrade Jiang Kun, a famous crosstalk performer, also brought friends and relatives to the store for dinner. Former Japanese Prime Minister Junshu Haibei visited Tongheju twice and tasted famous dishes such as "Sanbang". Seiji Ozawa, an international conductor, also visited our store to taste famous dishes such as "Princess Chicken". He Houhua, Chief Executive of Macau, visited our store in Beijing. They all praised the dishes and services in the same room and took photos with the chefs and service staff in the same room. Tongheju enjoys high popularity and reputation at home and abroad.
