Pearl grouper, also known as white-spotted grouper, is a deep-sea fish belonging to the grouper family. This fish is mainly distributed in the tropical and subtropical waters of the Indian Ocean and the western Pacific Ocean, and often inhabits coral reefs and rocky seabed.
Pearl grouper has become one of the common ingredients in high-end Chinese and western restaurants because of its tender and delicious meat. Although pearl grouper can survive in fresh water, it is essentially a kind of marine fish, and it needs to be in the marine environment to fully display its delicious characteristics.
