Later, he participated in the Jute Uprising, and was appointed as the political commissar of the 30th Regiment of Gongsijun 10 Division in the anti-Three-way panic action, which gradually showed his outstanding military talents in the battle.
Later, during the Xuanda War, Wang Jianan was called "having both military and political skills" by the head of Gongsijun because of his outstanding leadership in ideological and political work.
During the period of 1948, Chairman Mao, Zhu De and Premier Zhou discussed the countermeasures to liberate Jinan, and invited Wang Jianan to Xibaipo to discuss the strategic deployment.
After the meeting, Chairman Mao left Wang Jianan alone and asked him:
"Organizational decision, this time by you as xu's deputy, cooperate with him to capture jinan. Will you? "
Wang Jianan said without hesitation:
"Obey the decision of the Central Military Commission!"

1979, the counterattack against Vietnam started.
During the war, Wang Jianan and dozens of cadres went to Kunming to express their condolences to the frontline soldiers.
In order to welcome the arrival of the central condolence group, the Kunming Military Region specially prepared a sumptuous meal.
After Wang Jianan knew it, he immediately communicated with the leaders of the Kunming Military Region, demanding that the reception group only need a van, without special banquets, and it must be in accordance with the standards and must not exceed four dishes and one soup.
He has never been special to his family.
1955, Wang Jianan's wife Niu Yuqing was demobilized from the army.
At that time, the relatives of many comrades around put on military uniforms again, and they also came to persuade Wang Jianan:
"Go through the formalities for Niu Yuqing, just say hello anyway."
Wang Jianan refused without thinking.
He said:
"No organization or individual, including myself, can violate discipline."
He is more selfless to his children.
Wang Jianan has four children. Because of the times, they all work in other places.
At that time, the traffic was very inconvenient, and the children went home only a handful of times because of their busy work.
After learning about this difficulty, the CPC Central Committee issued a special policy: children of senior cadres can be transferred from other places to take care of their parents.
As a result, Wang Jianan turned a blind eye to this policy.
People around him, including his wife Niu Yuqing, began to worry.
Niu Yuqing said that it would be good to send the children back to Beijing.
However, Wang Jianan seriously said:
"If it is the children of ordinary families, can they be transferred back to their parents at any time when they are far away from home?
They are the children of the country and the people first, and then the children of Wang Jianan. The country and people need them more than I do. "
In fact, Wang Jianan missed the children more than once, and he especially wanted to enjoy his family.
However, he always put the country first and the people in the highest position in his heart, and never enjoyed the privileges at his fingertips.
1On July 25th, 980, General Wang Jianan passed away.
His last words were:
"I have an innocent life and a clear conscience.
After my death, there is no need to hold a funeral or memorial service, it will be a waste. Don't bury it in Babaoshan, just scatter my ashes in the farmland as fertilizer. "
General Wang Jianan's words made everyone present cry.
He once said:
"party member cadres are public servants of the people, not officials who bully others. They must recognize their position and serve the people. "
