Yuanping City is located in the north-central part of Shanxi Province, north latitude11217' ~13 35', north latitude 38 35' ~ 39 09', with Wutai in the east, Ningwu in the west and Ningwu in the south. Since the Western Han Dynasty, it has been an important county in northern Shanxi and a transportation hub for Taiyuan to the Great Wall. The development of history

Yuanping has a long history of more than 2,000 years since it was founded in the Western Han Dynasty. In the second year of the great cause of Sui Dynasty (606), Yuan Pingyuan was called Yan County.
