The 2022 Beijing-Zhangjiakou Winter Olympic Games will be jointly held in Beijing and Zhangjiakou, People's Republic of China (PRC) from February 4 to 20, 2022, with Beijing as the host city and Zhangjiakou as the co-host city. This is the third Olympic Games held in China and the first Winter Olympic Games held in China after the Beijing Olympic Games and Nanjing Youth Olympic Games.
There are 15 major events and 102 minor events in this Winter Olympics. Beijing will undertake all the ice projects, and Yanqing County of Beijing and Zhangjiakou City of Hebei Province will undertake all the snow projects. Beijing became the first city to host the Summer Olympic Games and the Winter Olympic Games in Olympic history, and the second capital city to host the Winter Olympic Games after 70 years after 1952 Oslo, Norway. At the same time, China has become the first country to achieve the Olympic Grand Slam (hosting the Olympic Games, Paralympic Games, Youth Olympic Games, Winter Olympic Games and Winter Paralympic Games).
