Oil bran is the product of rice processing. Not the chaff outside, nor the rice inside, but the middle part of the rice. It is said to contain high protein. When it is not squeezed out, it is called oil bran, which has a very simple grain flavor.

Oil bran is divided into rice bran oil (coarse rice bran oil) and bran meal (or bran cake) after being pressed. Crude rice bran oil is inedible and can be further refined into refined oil and by-products.
