First, help when cooking.
No matter when you are a student or when you step into the society after graduation, as long as you go home, it is basically a fairy day of "reaching out to eat". My parents are afraid that you can't eat well outside, so every time we go home, we basically cook all kinds of favorite dishes.
For example, every time I go home and see my parents busy in the kitchen, I will run to help them wash vegetables, peel garlic or wash dishes, and then help them taste the food when it is almost ready. Of course, it's always super awesome, hahaha ~ I find that every time I praise their delicious food, my parents will be super happy ~ hehehe, so we can close the relationship with their parents.
Second, take a walk together.
After I officially started working, I seldom go home every year. Sometimes, even on holidays, I can't go home because of work problems. So every time I go home, my parents and my sister and I will have an unwritten rule to go for a walk after dinner.
I believe that most of my friends are like me, and their hometown is in a small town or countryside. In fact, this environment is really super suitable for a family to take a walk after dinner. My parents and I usually take a walk on the less crowded roads in town, chatting and joking for an hour, and we don't feel that time passes quickly at all. This not only helps parents digest food, but also increases the time with their parents. I think it's super great.
Third, buy food with parents.
My family lives in a small town, and my mother goes shopping every morning. As long as I am at home, I will go to the vegetable market with my mother in the early morning. It takes about 15 minutes to walk from my home to the vegetable market, and I will stroll slowly with my mother. On the way, my mother will talk to me about all kinds of homely things, such as which dog gave birth to a cub and which son married a daughter-in-law. We will sigh that time flies and discuss what to eat today.
When I get to the vegetable market, I will go shopping with my mother first. My mother will pay for the food, and I will help her with the food. After the food is bought, I will buy some breakfast we like and continue to chat while eating on the way home. If you have this experience, you will feel that living at home is really happy except for work.
Fourth, go shopping with parents.
As I grow up, I will find that I didn't go shopping with my parents except with my friends. When I was a child, I found it very troublesome to go shopping with my parents. My idea is different from mine. I like to take care of everything. But when I grew up, this idea changed.
Times are changing. Our parents are actually very strange and curious about many things now. I remember the first time I took my parents to eat hot pot. My father happily took a video and sent it to a circle of friends, telling me that this was his first time to eat hot pot. I was very sad at that time and vowed to take my parents to try more new things in the future. In recent years, whenever I have time, I will take them to the movies, eat all kinds of delicious food that I have never eaten, and take them to experience the happiness of our time. In fact, my parents, like children, are curious and eager to explore, and I will try my best to satisfy them.
