Ingredients
Mung beans (or red beans, lotus seeds, barley) 2 cups measuring rice cup, sugar according to personal preference, water should cover the beans by about 4 cm
Method
1. Soak mung beans (or red beans, lotus seeds) in water for more than half a day to swell, then pour out the water and rinse briefly.
2. Add water according to the normal cooking procedures and proportions (water in the outer pot) to steam the mung beans until the water in the inner pot covers the beans by about 4 cm. No sugar can be added at this stage.
3. After the mung beans are steamed, add the sugar directly to the electric pot while it is hot and stir to dissolve evenly. Let it cool before placing it in the refrigerator. Red beans are not easy to cook, so they need to be cooked twice according to the rice cooking procedure.
