Herb properties
Whole grass length of about 30cm, rhizome elongated, terete, pale brownish-yellow; Stem less branched, thin cylindrical, with longitudinal lines, grayish green, basal leaves ovate, lyre-shaped, upper leaves smaller, base slightly embracing the stem; papery. Heads dry, flowers mostly deciduous, receptacle and involucre remaining, bracts tea-brown, membranous. Achenes light yellow-brown, crown hairs very numerous, white.
