Lemon and hot soda can kill COVID-19 immediately, or completely drive novel coronavirus out of the patient's body. When night falls, the human immune system will turn to acidification, and the human disease resistance will decrease accordingly, but lemon and baking soda can alkalize the human immune system, thus avoiding the weakening of the human disease resistance.
Rumors:
There is no evidence that drinking lemonade can prevent COVID-19.
Lemon is a kind of fruit with high nutritional value, which is rich in vitamin C and weakly acidic citric acid, and also contains minerals, flavonoids and other substances. Regular consumption helps the body to supplement vitamin C and some trace elements. Soda water is a dilute aqueous solution of sodium bicarbonate, which is weakly alkaline and can neutralize gastric acid to some extent. But there is no evidence that lemons and hot soda can kill COVID-19.
First of all, neither the acidity of lemon nor the alkalinity of soda water will affect the acid-base balance of human body. The pH value of normal blood is between 7.35 and 7.45, which is weakly alkaline. After drinking water, the gastrointestinal tract will quickly adjust the pH value of substances entering the body to the pH value of the internal environment of the body through its own adjustment function. Therefore, no matter what food you eat, under normal circumstances, it has little effect on the acid-base balance of the body, not to mention the combination of "lemon+soda" itself has neutralized the weak acidity of lemon and the weak alkalinity of soda, and there is no acid-base at all, let alone "killing" the virus. There is no scientific basis for the statement that the so-called "acid-base constitution" affects the antiviral ability of human body.
Secondly, the key to resist COVID-19 is to do personal protection and improve your immunity. In order to enhance the resistance and ensure the vitality of the body, we should not only ensure adequate sleep, maintain emotional stability and exercise properly, but also ensure a balanced and adequate diet, such as fish, poultry, eggs, lean meat, milk and other animals with high-quality protein (150~200g per day), plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables (one catty of vegetables and half a catty of fruits per day) and plenty of water.
So lemonade and soda water are just drinks, and they can't prevent COVID-19, let alone "kill" the virus. Never ignore the daily protection and the improvement of your own immunity because you believe this kind of folk rumor.
